It was the jokers versus the Blue Devils last night during the cold open of "Saturday Night Live." The skit poked fun at Duke University basketball star and Whitney Young grad Jahlil Okafor.

Taran Killam played Duke’s head coach Mike Krzyzewski. He told reporters Okafor will miss Monday’s national title game because he has a big biology test the next day.

“It’s like I told all my players, college is the most important year of your life,” Krzyzewski explained.

Coach Krzyzewski then revealed a replacement for the Chicago native: A 36-year-old graduate student named Steve.

“Steve is playing because he doesn’t have a test on Tuesday,” Krzyzewski said.

College basketball analysts also reacted to the breaking news. Kenny Smith, played by Jay Pharoah said, “If he (Okafor) doesn’t take advantage of the college experience, he will just have to spend time the rest of his life as a millionaire in the NBA. That’s a tragedy.”

Okafor, a 19-year-old freshman at Duke, was born in Chicago and played basketball for Whitney Young Magnet High School up until last year.
