Salesforce announced Friday it plans to add 1,000 jobs in Chicago over the next five years in its eponymous office building.

Salesforce Tower Chicago will be 950 foot tall, 57 story tower in the River North neighborhood overlooking the Chicago River, the company said in a blog post.

“We can't wait to add our big blue cloud to the Chicago skyline starting in 2023,” the company said.

“To date, our local employees have dedicated over 125,000 volunteer hours to area non-profits including Habitat for Humanity, Cradles to Crayons, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Safe Haven and numerous others,” Salesforce said. “The bar continues to be raised -- in honor of the news, our Chicago employees have pledged to volunteer 40,000 additional hours in 2019 alone!”

The building’s “Ohana Floor” will offer “unobstructed” 360 degree views of the city, Salesforce said.
