Thieves Threatened to Mace Employee While Snagging Designer Purses From Gold Coast Store: Cops

A group of women walked into a Gold Coast designer clothing store Monday afternoon and stole 10 purses after threatening to spray an employee with mace, authorities said.

It was unclear which store was robbed in the 900 block of North Rush Street, but police officers could be seen inside a Christian Dior store. Initial reports said it was possibly a Versace or Yves Saint Laurent store.

The women took off southbound on Rush Street with two men in a dark colored sedan, police said.

No other information was immediately available.
