2 in Custody After Shots Fired at Robbins Police

Two people were in custody Friday morning after shots were fired at police following a pursuit in Robbins, south of Chicago.

Police were involved in a chase on 137th Street at about 5 a.m., according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office.

At some point during the pursuit, several of the people being chased ran into a wooded area. Two were taken into custody and authorities were looking for a possible third person, according to the sheriff’s office.

No one was injured in the chase.

As of 9 a.m., authorities had not released information as to why police were chasing the people.
