Man Shot, Seriously Wounded in Chicago's River North Neighborhood

A man was shot and seriously wounded in the River North neighborhood on Chicago's Near North Side Sunday morning, according to police.

Just after 6 a.m., a 32-year-old man was in the 600 block of North Clark when a person on a bicycle approached and opened fire, authorities said.

The victim was shot in the abdomen, according to police, and ran into a nearby hotel seeking assistance.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.

No one is in custody and authorities continue to investigate.

This incident was one of more than 50 shootings that have occurred across Chicago over Thanksgiving weekend, leaving 6 people dead.
