Rick Springfield to Headline Taste of Joliet

Springfield replaces Huey Lewis, who canceled all 2018 tour dates due to hearing loss

Rick Springfield will headline the Taste of Joliet, the Joliet Park District announced Tuesday.

Springfield will replace musician Huey Lewis, who was originally scheduled to play the festival but earlier this month canceled all remaining tour dates due to hearing loss.

Springfield, known for hits such as “Jessie’s Girl,” “I’ve Done Everything for You” and “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” will play the festival’s main stage at 9 p.m. on June 22.

The Australian musician will take the stage after performances from Styx founding member Dennis DeYoung, 7th Heaven, Anthem and Hot Mess.

Tickets are available here and cost $11 for general admission and $47.50 for front section reserved seating.

Anyone who purchased tickets to see Huey Lewis can get a refund by emailing the Joliet Park District at bstaab@jolietpark.org.

Taste of Joliet runs June 22-24 at ATI Field at Joliet Memorial Stadium. Country duo the Brothers Osborne is headlining the 23rd. The lineup for the 24th has not yet been announced.
