Reward Increased Again in Search for Missing 27-Year-Old Kierra Coles

Coles has been missing since Oct. 2

It’s been seven months since 27-year-old Kierra Coles was last seen, and her family and community are stepping up their efforts to find her.

Coles, a postal worker from Chicago’s South Side, was last seen on Oct. 2 as she left her apartment. She was three months pregnant at the time, and was wearing her work uniform, but she has not been seen since.

Authorities say that Coles called off work sick that day, and surveillance footage shows her walking away from her home on that date.

On Sunday, community members, led by activist Andrew Holmes and Coles’ postal service union, once again increased the reward for information in Coles’ disappearance. That figure now stands at $46,500, and family members are hopeful that someone with information on her whereabouts will come forward.

“If someone knows something, anything, could you please say something?” Mack Julian, President of the National Association of Letter Carriers, asked.

Area South Detectives are still on the case as well, and are hopeful that they can help provide answers to Coles’ family.
