Rescued Doberman Found After Escape at Midway

Madison was scared by the airport noise after landing at Midway and broke free from her handlers

A Doberman that went missing when it escaped its handlers at Midway International Airport after being rescued from a Texas puppy mill last week has been found.

The Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus said it received a call early Wednesday morning from a woman claiming to have found the dog.

The dog, named Madison because she was headed to that city in Wisconsin, was scared by the airport noise after landing at Midway and broke free from her handlers.

Madison was transported to Chicago by a businessman on a private jet, and was scheduled to be processed by Illinois Doberman rescue volunteers who would then take her to Wisconsin.

A volunteer was dispatched to pick up the pup Wednesday and take her to Wisconsin, where she will be prepped for adoption.

The Doberman Rescue Alliance of Wisconsin was scheduled to give Madison extensive medical treatments to prepare her for a permanent adoption home.

Madison's recent litter of puppies was sent to a Doberman rescue organization in Colorado.
