Rescue efforts continued Saturday for a doberman rescued from a Texas puppy mill who escaped her handlers after getting spooked at Midway International Airport.
The dog, named Madison because she was headed to that city in Wisconsin, was scared by the airport noise after landing at Midway, and broke free from her handlers.
She's reportedly running free in the vicinity of the airport.
A recent Facebook post says she was "potentially" spotted close to Midway overnight Saturday, but remains missing.
Madison was transported to Chicago by a businessman on a private jet, and was scheduled to be processed by Illinois Doberman rescue volunteers who would then take her to Wisconsin.
The Doberman Rescue Alliance of Wisconsin was scheduled to give Madison extensive medical treatments to prepare her for a permanent adoption home.
Madison's recent litter of puppies was sent to a Doberman rescue organization in Colorado.
Officials say Madison is friendly, but very scared and shy. She still may be wearing a red beaded necklace.
A $1,000 reward is offered for her safe return. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call (847) 277-1082.
