Fans still hoping to gain access to the Grateful Dead's three-day farewell concert in Chicago still have a shot at scoring tickets. In fact, the days leading up to show might be the best time to buy tickets on the secondary market.

A three-day pass on StubHub, once priced as high as $116,000, can now be purchased for less than $500. Single day passes are as low as $195. The lowest priced tickets won't give fans a full view of the show, and all of the cheaper seats are located behind the stage, however.

Tickets initially went on sale on Ticketmaster in March, but all single day and three-day passes sold out in a matter of minutes. Additionally, more than 60,000 sent in mail-order requests for tickets, prompting the concert promoter to delay the public sale and cancel a pre-sale event. Several of the mail-order customers were also moved to seats of lesser value than what they paid for so as to accommodate as many people as possible.

Another two-day show was also added in Santa Clara, Calif., due to the high demand. Ticket prices for the June 27-28 show fell even more drastically leading up to the event. The NBC affiliate in the Bay Area reported that fans could buy single day passes for as low as $27 on StubHub.

Soldier Field was chosen as the main venue for the show in tribute to Jerry Garcia, who played his final show with the band in 1995 at the venue shortly before he died of a heart attack.

Those unable to attend the live performances at Soldier Field or in Santa Clara can watch the shows in theaters across the country that will broadcast them live or through a pay-per-view live stream.
