Report Ranks Illinois' 10 Stressed Out Cities

Can where you live affect how stressed out you are? According to a new report, that might be the case.

Career website Zippia ranked Illinois’ most stressed-out cities, claiming Dolton residents are most stressed due in part to high rents and long commutes.

The report looked at 340 places in Illinois with a population over 5,000 people and ranked them based on criteria including percentage of people with a commute over 30 minutes, unemployment rates, hours worked, population density, percentage of income spent on rent and percentage of population without health insurance.

“The higher any of these were, the more stressed the people of the place are,” the report stated.

The ranking included several suburbs as well as Chicago.

Here were “the 10 stressed places in Illinois.”
