Registration Opens For 2020 Bank of America Chicago Half-Marathon, Shamrock Shuffle

Registration for both the 2020 Bank of America Chicago 13.1 and the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle opens Monday, Oct. 7.

Registration opened Monday for two races next year: the 2020 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle and the newly announced Bank of America Chicago 13.1 half-marathon.

The inaugural half-marathon presented by the organizers of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon takes place on Sunday, June 7, and promises a "running tour of Chicago’s West Side neighborhoods." The race will anchor a three-day health and wellness festival on Chicago’s West Side.

"I’ve watched Chicago running transform over the past 30 years, and one of the questions I get asked most frequently is 'when are you going to put on a half marathon,'" said Carey Pinkowsi, Bank of America Chicago Marathon executive race director, in a statement.

"We are excited to start our next chapter by bringing a world-class half marathon to our city," Pinkowski said, "and to further our mission to grow the sport and welcome new runners."

Register for the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K, kicking off Sunday, March 22, 2020, with the iconic "green guys."

And don't forget, the Shuffle also puts on a 2-mile walk, as well as The Mile, which welcomes "runners of all abilities from the next generation of shufflers to local elites on a course that weaves through Grant Park."
