Ravinia Tickets Prove Hard to Come By

Long wait times reported at festival Web site

Trying to snag a ticket for your favorite Ravinia Festival artist this summer? Prepare to wait.

Tickets went on sale at 5 a.m. Thursday, but eager music fans have been experiencing extensive wait times on the festival Web site.

A message on Ravinia.org warns that wait times will be long and that the busiest time to order tickets will be between 8 a.m.-noon.

More than 120 separate events will be on tap from June 7 to Sept. 9 -- everything from classical to rock and reggae music and several performances by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Concerts this summer include Santana, Al Green, Earth, Wind and Fire, Duran Duran, Steve Martin and Tony Bennett. (View Schedule)
