Storms dumped a couple of inches of rain on the Chicago area this Mother's Day weekend, with most counties across northern Illinois under a Flash Flood Watch Saturday evening.
The National Weather Service had issued a Flash Flood Watch for large portions of Northern Illinois, including DeKalb, LaSalle, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, Cook, and Will counties Saturday.
By Sunday morning, some areas saw up to 3 inches of rain, according to the NWS.
