The Chicago mayor on a southern spree.  Emanuel, known for his incredible energy, went from the Illinois Delegation breakfast directly to national interviews, then on to party meetings, then on to more interviews.

And he's not done yet.

Emanuel  will stay in Charlotte Wednesday night to watch former President Bill Clinton's speech before he slips into an after party.

Then he will fly back on a private jet to Chicago.   Joining him for the whirlwind trip -- his wife Amy and children.

Emanuel is quite the multi-tasker.

There is after all the possibility of the first Chicago teachers strike in 25 years just days away.

Thursday night in Chicago Emanuel will host a speech-viewing party for Obama volunteers and staffers.

Clearly he's enjoying the spotlight from the media dashing to him for his reaction.

As he entered the skybox for an interview with NBC 5 on Tuesday night, reporters from Boston and Philadelphia had questions for Chicago's mayor ... who may or may not have his eyes on a 2016 run.
