Service to others is "the rent we pay for our place on God's earth," Gov. Pat Quinn told members of a Humboldt Park church.
Pastors Freddy and Lynette Santiago, of Rebano Companerismo Cristiano Church on West Division Street, joined their congregation in honoring Quinn on Sunday.
The pastors offered a gift to the governor and shared the message that their community was at his service.
Quinn joined the congregation for a prayer.
