Prosecutors Say Facebook Fight Led To Murder

Authorities say a fatal shooting at a West Side gas station last month was the culmination of a Facebook fight between two Chicago women.

Khalila Southall, 30, is accused of shooting Lakeisha Tate, 28, at the station located in the 3300 block of West Harrison.

Prosecutors say Tate bought an item inside the store on August 26 and was confronted by Southall when she walked out. The two started fighting and Southall allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Tate in the leg and torso. She later died at an area hospital.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, police say Southall admitted the two had an argument on Facebook and did not like each other.

Southall fled to Rochester, Minn. following the shooting and was arrested there on another domestic incident earlier this month.

Southall is being held without bond. She has previous convictions on a drug charge and aggravated battery to a police officer.
