One person was injured Tuesday in a partial porch collapse on Chicago’s West Side, fire officials confirmed.
The Chicago Fire Department said in a tweet a porch partially collapsed on the South Austin neighborhood in the 5500 block of Quincy Street.
One person was taken to Loyola Hospital in serious condition, officials said.
The city’s Department of Buildings will look at the construction of the porch, officials said.
