Police Seek Vehicle Involved in Albany Park Shootings

Police say the same vehicle was involved in three separate shootings Monday morning

Chicago police have released surveillance images of a car involved in at least three shootings on the city’s Northwest Side Monday.

According to authorities, two men were seen driving inside of a dark gray four-door Acura on Nov. 4 between 1 a.m. and 4:19 a.m. During that time, three separate incidents were reported across Albany Park.

In each incident, two men inside of a gray Acura four-door sedan opened fire at victims, and in two instances the victims were hit by the gunfire.

Police say the incidents occurred:

  • 4000 block of North Kimball at 1:06 a.m.
  • 4300 block of North Troy at 2:52 a.m.
  • 4800 block of North Kimball at 4:19 a.m.

The suspects are described as two men wearing face masks and dark clothing. The Acura they were driving had a moon roof and tinted windows.

In the shooting in the 4300 block of North Troy, a 35-year-old man was shot in the back as he sat inside of a vehicle. The man ran to Montrose, where a resident flagged down police officers. The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in stable condition.

A short time later, a 43-year-old man was sitting in a car when the Acura pulled up and a person inside opened fire, striking the victim in the hand. He was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where he’s listed in good condition.
