Police Seek Suspect in Lincoln Park Sexual Assault

Chicago police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in the city’s Lincoln Park neighborhood on Saturday morning.

According to authorities, two women were standing in an alley in the 2200 block of North Orchard Street at approximately 4:30 a.m. when a man walked up to them, shoved them both to the ground, and began to sexually assault one of them.

Police say that the other woman was able to fight off the attacker by kicking him in the face, and he fled the scene.

The attacker is described as a white or Hispanic male, in his late 20s or early 30s. The man is described as standing 5-foot-5 and weighing around 150 pounds, with a slim build and short dark hair.

The man was last seen wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and shorts and riding a bicycle. He may have facial lacerations from the blow to his face, according to police.

Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
