Police: Man Exposed Himself to Jogger in Glen Ellyn

Police are investigating after a man exposed himself to a woman while she was jogging Sunday morning in west suburban Glen Ellyn.

The 22-year-old woman was jogging about 7:45 a.m. on the prairie path between Hill and Taylor avenues near Walnut Glen Park when she noticed the man standing along the path with his shorts down, according to a statement from Glen Ellyn police. As she passed him, the man turned and walked toward her while exposing himself.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-7 black man between his late teens and early 20s with an athletic build, short black hair and a light complexion, police said. He was wearing black basketball shorts with red trim and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The man was last seen running southbound away from the scene, police said. A similar incident involving a suspect with a comparable description occurred June 9 near a fitness store in downtown Glen Ellyn.

Anyone with information about the suspect or about either incident is asked to contact police at (630) 469-1187.
