Police: Investigation of Iowa College Student Stabbed to Death Continues

There are still many questions that continue to linger even days after the incident—including who killed the Calumet City native

Police in Iowa are investigating an incident of a college basketball player who was stabbed to death on Thursday night.

Marquis Todd was a south suburban 22-year-old student at William Penn University in Iowa who, according to officials, was in a minor car accident with some friends prior to the stabbing.

After the accident took place, police believe the group made their way to a gas station in Oskaloosa where Todd was stabbed.

He was transported to a hospital where police say he died.

There are still many questions that continue to linger even days after the incident—including who killed the Calumet City native.

Although the Oskaloosa police chief said they have identified everyone involved in the case and believe this was an isolated incident, the exact charges, if any, are still unknown.

The investigation is still ongoing.
