Police are investigating after a shooting took place on Interstate 290 outside of Chicago just after rush hour Monday.
Police said they responded to reports of shots fired on the eastbound lanes of the interstate around 8:30 p.m. at North Avenue.
No injuries were reported and traffic remained open as of Monday evening.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to called police at 847-931-2405.
