Police Investigate Report of Shots Fired on I-94

Illinois State Police are investigating a report of shots fired on Interstate 94 on Chicago's South Side. 

The report first came in around 11:30 a.m. but it remained unclear if anyone was injured. 

Illinois State Police were seen investigating the inbound lanes of the expressway near Stony Island. 

Closures were in place during rush hour and as of 4 p.m. traffic was being forced off at Stony Island. Backups were reported from 115th street.
