A man has been charged with murder after a woman was shot dead in a domestic incident inside of a suburban bar late Thursday night, police said.
Waukegan police responded to a call of shots fired and found Elpidia Munoz-Garcia, 33, dead inside Buenos Taco Bar and Restaurant in the 400 block of Franklin in Waukegan. Roberto C. Romero, 23, has been charged for first-degree murder in the shooting death of Munoz-Garcia, police said.

Munoz-Garcia and Romero were described as being in a relationship and living together.
Romero initially fled the scene, but he later returned and was placed in custody. Police also recovered a handgun from inside the bar.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, the same day Romero is expected to appear in bond court.
