Officials have identified the man accused of killing a woman in a murder-suicide at a motel in Arlington Heights last week.
Police say Cecilia Perez, 41, of Aurora, was killed by 32-year-old Luis Antonio Nonato Velasquez, whose last known address was in Carol Stream.
The two bodies were found during a death investigation last Thursday at a Motel 6 at 441 W. Algonquin Road after hotel staff entered the room and discovered a large amount of blood on the floor.
Officer then found the bodies of a man and a woman, both of which had died of stab wounds and lacerations by a knife.
Investigators say the two were in a romantic relationship and allege Velasquez carried out the apparent murder-suicide.
