Police closed part of southbound Lake Shore Drive Wednesday morning after reports of a possible shooting.
Authorities closed the major roadway at 57th Street around 11:17 a.m. as officers searched for shell casings, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.
It remained unclear if a shooting did in fact take place.
