Plainfield Man Arrested After Cops Search Home for Meth Lab

During the search, they found multiple hypodermic needles, heroin and marijuana

A southwest suburban Plainfield man was arrested after authorities searched his home looking for a meth lab.

Officers from the Plainfield Police Department, Illinois State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant on a suspected methamphetamine lab in the 24100 block of West Lockport Street in Plainfield Jan 8, according to a statement from Plainfield police.

During the search, they found multiple hypodermic needles, heroin and marijuana, police said. While interviewing suspects, officers learned 34-year-old Frank P. Burrus had previously manufactured meth inside the home but stopped within the preceding week.

Burrus was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony, police said.

He is being held at the Will County Adult Detention Facility on a $25,000 bond, according to the Will County sheriff’s office.
