Now in its 31st year, Ribfest runs July 4-7 at Knoch Park just south of downtown Naperville. It benefits the Exchange Club of Naperville, dedicated to fighting child abuse and domestic violence.

Pitbull joins previously announced headliners Steven Tyler, Jake Owen, Stray Cats, Melissa Etheridge and Chris Janson. [[470583223, C]]

Tickets for Pitbull’s show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday on the Ribfest website. He last performed in the Chicago area in October, stopping at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont when he co-headlined a tour with Enrique Iglesias.

Tickets for the other headliners are already on sale on Ribfest's site for $30-$750, but there are options for reduced-cost tickets to the festival that do not include concert admission. [[476826433, C]]

In addition to the music, there will be a carnival area, fireworks and a barbecue contest with 12 different rib vendors.

Last year’s headliners were Toby Keith, The B-52s, Shinedown and The Wallflowers.
