Chicago police have released images of a car wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run Monday morning on the Near North Side.
Authorities say that a 43-year-old man was crossing the street in the first block of East Ohio Street at approximately 1:56 a.m. when a white Toyota Camry struck him.
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, but surveillance cameras captured images of the car. The vehicle is described as a white four-door Toyota Camry, possibly a model year 2012-2014, with front end damage on the driver’s side and a damaged side-view mirror on the driver’s side of the car.
The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on Lake Shore Drive near Grand Avenue, police said.
