A person was shot early Sunday morning on Interstate 290 near California Avenue.
State troopers responded to the expressway shooting about 1 a.m. and found a person shot with non-life threatening injuries, Illinois state police said.
State police are asking anyone who witnessed the shooting or with any knowledge of the attack to contact officials at 847-294-4400. Witnesses can remain anonymous.
