The Chicago Fire Department confirmed one person was hospitalized after being shot near Murphy's Bleachers Sports Bar.
According to police, the incident occurred just before 7 p.m. in the 900 block of West Waveland.

Police said the 26-year-old male was on the sidewalk when he was shot in the arm by an unknown offender. A firearm was later recovered near the scene.
Eyewitnesses told NBC Chicago's JC Navarrete that multiple gunshots were fired, and the victim ran into the kitchen at the bar. Police did not confirm that part of the incident.
Police said a person of interest is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition.
