Person Found Behind Southwest Side Building Was Stabbed, Police Say

A person who was found dead behind a building Saturday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood was stabbed to death, authorities said.

The male body was found at 11:36 a.m. in the 700 block of South Campbell, according to Chicago police.

An autopsy conducted Sunday found the male died from multiple sharp force injuries, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His identity hasn’t been released.

Area North detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
