A man died after being struck by a car on Interstate 290 early Saturday morning.
The man was struck at about 4 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-290 near the Western Avenue exit, according to Illinois State Police. The driver of the car did not stop until near the Homan exit.
Police believe the victim was walking along highway after his car broke down when he was struck and killed.
Several westbound lanes were temporarily closed as crews cleared the scene.
