Another wet week is in store for the Chicago area.
Tuesday began warm and humid as a line of showers and thunderstorms brought heavy rain and lightning across many parts of the Chicago.
Mostly cloudy skies remained throughout the day, with highs in the mid 80s. A chance of rain lingers in the Chicago area, as a patchy storm system moves through the northern suburbs in the early evening.
Otherwise, Tuesday evening will be muggy, with haze and patchy fog that remains overnight.
The threat of isolated showers and storms returns Wednesday morning before clouds break for sunshine in the afternoon. Temperatures dip into the mid 70s and humidity levels are expected to fall, feeling breezy and much cooler.
Thursday will bring relief from the wet conditions for a mostly sunny and much less humid day. Highs are expected to hover in the 60s and low 70s.
Heading into the holiday weekend, Friday and Saturday will be sunny, pleasant and mild with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
