An eighth inning double by Milwaukee Brewers pinch hitter Ben Gamel off of Chicago Cubs pitcher Pedro Strop helped the home side to a comeback 3-2 win on Friday night. 

After the Brewers loaded the bases with a walk and two hit-by-pitches, Gamel laced an RBI single into right field, scoring a pair of runs and giving the Brewers a win over their divisional rivals. 

David Bote hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning, scoring the only two runs of the game for the Cubs. Christian Yelich had an RBI single in the seventh for the Brewers. 

Kyle Hendricks gave up two hits and no earned runs in five innings of work, but was stuck with the no decision as the bullpen coughed up the lead late. Two earned runs were charged to Brandon Kintzler, who hit a batter and walked another in his relief appearance. 

Gio Gonzalez had a strong game for the Brewers, giving up two earned runs in 6.1 innings. He also struck out nine Cubs hitter as the team's offense sputtered to its fourth loss in five games. 

The Cubs didn't even get a hit until the sixth inning, but they finally got on the board thanks to an infield single from Albert Almora Jr. Bote then blasted a home run to left field, giving the Cubs a 2-0 lead. 

After Yelich brought the Brewers within a run in the seventh, Milwaukee scratched out two runs in the eighth to take the lead. With the bases loaded and two outs, Gamel roped a single into right field, scoring two runs and giving the Brewers a lead they would never relinquish.
