Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Justice

Shelley O'Brien, 54, was pronounced dead on the scene

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in southwest suburban Justice Saturday night.

Crews responded at about 9:30 p.m. to the scene of the collision in the 8600 block of West 79th Street in Justice, a Roberts Park Fire Protection District battalion chief said.

Shelley O’Brien, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:09 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. She lived in the 300 block of Oak Lane in Justice, authorities said.

Justice police could not immediately be reached for further details on Sunday morning.
