Pearl Jam Wrigley Tickets Sell Out In Record Time

Team said it was the fastest Wrigley concert sell-out in its history

If you were hoping to snag tickets to Pearl Jam's summer show at Wrigley Field, you may have to dole out big bucks.

Tickets for the July 19 concert sold out Saturday morning in record time. The team said it was the fastest Wrigley concert sell-out in stadium history. By Monday morning tickets were going for between $250 and $1,200 on StubHub and up to $300 on Craigslist.

Pearl Jam is scheduled to appear at the Friendly Confines for one night only. In the past some Wrigley bands have added a date to their appearance to meet demand.

The'90s band announced the show last month with the Chicago Cubs after a not-so-subtle buildup on social media.

The team alluded to the show with a tweet that included "Ten. #Staytuned" and a picture of a team uniform with the number 10 -- not only the legendary Ron Santo's retired number, but also the name of Pearl Jam's most famous album.

Pearl Jam tweeted the #Staytuned hashtag along with a photo of a poster from a previous Chicago concert with My Morning Jacket.

Eddie Vedder has been a huge Cubs fan since his days growing up in Evanston. He has thrown out the first pitch at a Cubs game and has sung the seventh-inning stretch numerous times.
