Patrick Kane Hires Lawyer Amid Investigation Into Incident at His New York Home

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane hired a criminal defense attorney amid a police investigation centering on his home in Hamburg, New York.

Paul Cambria, Jr., confirmed to NBC Chicago Saturday that he is representing Kane in this latest investigation. He would not confirm he was with Kane at a Buffalo club early Sunday morning, however.

Cambria represented Kane in 2009 in a disorderly conduct incident with a Buffalo cab driver. The attorney specializes in First Amendment cases and has represented several high-profile cases, like Hustler magazine's Larry Flynt and singer Marilyn Manson.

Kane canceled all events he was scheduled to take part in with the Stanley Cup Saturday and instead spent the day with his family.

The Buffalo News reported earlier this week that law enforcement sources say Kane is the focus of an investigation into an allegation of rape.

Hamburg Police confirmed Friday that the department is looking into an incident that allegedly happened at Kane's home last weekend. Kane has not been charged with a crime.
