Delta Connection Flight Stopped at O'Hare Over Brake Problem Before Takeoff: Delta

A flight from Chicago to New York was stopped before takeoff Thursday morning after officials reported problems to the aircraft's brakes.

"During taxi to the runway, prior to departure, Endeavor Air flight 3399 operating as Delta Connection from Chicago O’Hare to JFK International stopped on the taxiway due to an issue with the aircraft’s brakes," a Delta spokesperson said in a statement.

According to Karen Pride with the Chicago Department of Aviation, passengers were removed from the flight due to the "incident." The passengers were being moved to another plane, Pride said.

There were 57 passengers and four crew members onboard at the time, Delta said. No injuries were immediately reported.

Footage from the scene and photos posted to social media appeared to show busses and emergency vehicles surrounding the plane just before 11:30 a.m.

"Customers were bused back to the terminal where they will be reaccommodated to JFK," Delta's statement read. "We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers. The safety of our customers and crew is always our top priority.”
