With Shelter at Capacity, Over 100 Pets Adopted at PAWS Chicago

The shelter revealed it was at capacity on Thursday

After asking for the public's help to alleviate overcrowding at its shelter, PAWS Chicago saw a massive response from the community.

According to the shelter, over 100 pets were adopted over the weekend, including 37 that were long-term residents of the shelter. Adoption fees were waived on those animals, according to the shelter.

The shelter, the largest no-kill facility in the city, announced Thursday that it was at capacity and that it would waive adoption fees on some older animals and long-term residents of the shelter.
