Oswego officials are considering holding a new music festival this summer that one trustee characterized as a "suburbun Pitchfork."
The Oswego Beats and Eats would be an all-day music festival in Prairie Point Park on Aug. 10, and would include musicians and food vendors with local and regional followings, according to the Beacon-News.
The Oswego Village Board recently had its first look at the proposed festival, which would highlight up-and-coming musicians, gourmet food trucks and local restaurants.
Officials say the event could attract up to 10,000 people and would cost between $15 and $25.
The trustees are expected to vote on the proposal soon.
The Pitchfork Music Festival is held every year in Chicago in Union Park.
