Orland Park police are investigating a possible murder-suicide that occurred on Sunday evening.
According to police, a 45-year-old woman was shot and killed in the parking lot of a PF Changs restaurant in the 14000 block of LaGrange Road.
The woman was found in a vehicle at the restaurant, and a 59-year-old man was found in the parking lot, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to authorities, the two individuals were not married, and it's unclear at this time what the relationship was between the two.
The victim's family spoke with NBC 5 after the incident, saying that she was a nurse and that they had just eaten dinner at the restaurant when the incident occurred.
The scene is secure and there is no danger to the public, according to police.
