One Summer Chicago Program to Hold Resource Fair

As part of its One Summer Chicago program, the city will host its first Children and Youth Resource Fair on Sunday morning.

The event will take place at Douglas Park, located at 1401 South Sacramento Drive, beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday. Children and adults ages 14 to 24 will be able to fill out job applications for the One Summer program, the city said in a press release.

The One Summer Chicago program offered more than 30,000 jobs to youth ages 14 to 24 last summer, and the program is expected to continue to grow. In addition to jobs, families can also get information at the fair about camps, sports, and arts programs that the city will offer for those between the ages of 6 and 24 this summer.

For families unable to attend the fair, the city’s One Summer website can also be used to fill out applications and to get more informations on available programs.
