A guest at the Omni Hotel in Chicago returned to their room early Thursday morning and found a burglar inside.
Police said the guest, whose age and gender weren’t immediately known, returned to their room in the 600 block of North Michigan Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. and found a man they didn’t know inside.
The guest fought the man before the burglar took out a gun and fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash, according to authorities.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Area Central Detectives are investigating.
