Norridge Police: Barricade Situation ‘Resolved' Sunday Night

The stand-off lasted for nearly six hours

After a stand-off that lasted for more than six hours, Norridge police say that a barricade situation has been resolved on Sunday evening.

According to authorities, police responded to a domestic situation near the intersection of Harlem and Montrose at approximately 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The person involved in the incident, who is wanted on a warrant, then barricaded themselves in a home, and remained there for over six hours.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., the police department posted a note on social media saying that the situation has been “resolved,” and that traffic around the area will return to normal.

There is no word on how the situation ended, or whether the suspect was taken into custody.
