There has been a slight change of plans for Today Show fans in the Windy City.
A powerful winter storm is expected to hit the Northeast and New England on Friday, pummeling some parts the region with as much two feet of snow and blizzard conditions.
That means Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie won't be able to make it to Chicago Feb. 8 for their Friday Field Trip. They'll stay on the East Coast to cover the storm and bring viewers the latest details.
The good news: Matt and Savannah haven't canceled for good. They plan to reschedule and visit 401 N. Michigan Ave. on the Magnificent Mile in the very near future.
