No Injuries Reported in Chicago Heights Fire

No one was inside the building at the time of the blaze, Chicago Heights Fire Lt. Kevin Lueder said

No one was injured in a house fire late Monday in south suburban Chicago Heights.

Firefighters responded about 11:40 p.m. to a call of a house fire at a vacant building in the 1500 block of Union Avenue, Chicago Heights Fire Lt. Kevin Lueder told reporters at the scene.

No one was inside the building at the time of the blaze, Lueder said. Firefighters evacuated the building next door and no one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
