NHL Auctioning Off Stanley Cup's Red Carpet

Fans can own the carpet used during the 2013 Cup presentation

The Chicago Blackhawks may be selling vials of the ice used at the United Center during their 2013 Stanley Cup run, but the NHL is selling a piece of memorabilia that was actually at TD Garden in Boston when the Hawks hoisted their second Cup in four seasons.

That is because the league is auctioning off the red carpet on which the Cup was awarded on that memorable day. The carpet, which measures 4 feet wide by 10 feet long, features the 2013 Stanley Cup logo and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the NHL.

Bidding for the piece ends at 9 p.m. Central Wednesday. It is currently going for just a shade over $6,000, but the league is expecting the amount to go higher.

If fans don't have the cash on hand to pay for the actual carpet, they could bid on the back-up carpet, which would have been used had the Cup been awarded in Chicago following a Game 7. That carpet is currently selling for $2,000.

If you are interested in bidding, you can visit the link here. For those not willing to part with the money to buy either carpet, don't fret. We'll help strengthen your memories of that day, and those are worth more than any currency:
