Light snow tapered off in the Chicago area while a Winter Storm Warning remained in effect for north-central Indiana and Southwest Michigan, where heavier snow continued.
Temperatures in Chicago fall through the day, landing in the teens by the evening with wind chill values in the single digits. Winds range from 20-30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
Get ready for another burst of flurries Tuesday morning thanks to lake effect snow showers. Chicago will miss the worst, but parts of Indiana and Michigan could see 4 to 8 inches by the end of the morning.
Only a few flurries are possible for the rest of the week. Expect more sun than clouds with highs in the mid-30s.
